Well, the lifters arrived today, and boy, you wasn't kidding when they were described as being a little skanky. I'm not sure there even gonna be usable, due to some pretty heavy pitting on the sides, and the face of several of them. I did clean one up and grind it so you fellers can get a idea what they look like after grinding.
Bein' that the Slanty has no pressurized oil gallery at the lifters, how much tappet to bore clearance would You be comfortable with, I never actually faced that situation in one to think about it.
