No if you look at the first picture I posted above you can see the holes that were cut in half that are used for 72-76 markers. 70- and 70-71 Duster and Demon are located below the later markers . The rectangle drawn on the quarter below the half holes are the 70-71 location. The rear corner of the marker recess lip almost touched the body line.
In the first picture I cut off the top of the 72-76 marker hole. Then I laid the piece of the 71 quarter against that to locate the 71 marker. I clamped the edges at the top and cut around the piece of the 71 marker I had so I could but weld it in.
Look at the pictures, You can see I cut the hole larger so the recess wouldn't hold the part away from the quarter so it could be cut with a thin cut off wheel while held in place. I left a 1/4 inch on and used the part as a guide to cut it while clamped at the top as stated above.
