Most A-/F-body aluminum overdrives are also 26 spline. A 30-spline aluminum short-tail is a rare bird, but they were made. The only 30-spline A833ODs I have are a cast-iron case, high-helix '75 A-body and a couple of truck transmissions.

Interesting... I have had the opposite luck, currently have two F body aluminum ODs sitting under the bench, both 30 spline outputs. I know they're out there, but I can't honestly say I've ever run across a 26 spline OD in the flesh. Luck of the draw, I guess. Slant 6 vs V8, maybe?
