Stovers Power Sports- Lisbon Ohio

Thanks for the advice. It's basically a warmed up engine with a mild cam. I had thought about a junkyard engine, still considering it. I can get one for $400 with 130K miles on it. I have rebuilt heads with better valve springs and the cam, maybe I should just get the junkyard engine, swap the heads, cam and lifters and run it. It's a lot less money for a basically stock engine. Out of curiosity, should I expect success without milling the deck of a junkyard engine and just swapping heads?
I'm not sure what heads/Cam you have, but I would think a Virgin 360 or 5.9l could be easily found vs. A 318. I'm not much of a junkyard crawler, given my career choice, but I wouldn't give up "free" cubes for anything. Especially when a recently running 5.9 could be found for what someone is probably asking for a sleeved 318 block.
