Just needing some help

I had it running after I changed the plugs 2 days ago, let it sit yesterday, and it will only start and run if I hold the flap open all the way and hold throttle 1/2 - 3/4 . I'm sorry it seems like I don't know what I'm doing, but most of my mechanical knowledge is on diesel engines (tractors and road tractors) basic knowledge of autos and pickup trucks.
