1969 Dodge Dart Ignition Assembly

Electrically, and plug pattern, they all work the same, not counting the ground terminal issue I mentioned. It's the way the switch is mounted into the dash. '60-67 have a small nub that fits a notch in the dash panel to keep the switch from spinning as you turn the key. '68 uses a slot. '69 is much bigger in diameter. Starting in 1968, the plug started coming with latch ears that clipped onto two cleats built into the switch housing.....supposedly to prevent the plug from falling off the switch (which I've never seen happen, but, I guess is possible). As for the ground terminal.....'60-4, no ground terminal on any I've seen. '65-7 have one. I've seen both with and without a ground terminal on both the '68 and '69 switch. I suppose it had to do with which model it was mounted in, as some dashes used more plastic than others.
