Morning gear heads. I've been busy here buying baseball cards a couple deals I've been working on for several weeks came together all at once yesterday exciting times. In short, I ended up with a great 1968 Topps complete set, a 1970 Topps complete set, a 1978 Topps complete set (mint condition), and the last couple star cards for my 1960 Topps set. The sets are all excellent to near mint (yep they look good) complete set meaning every card is there. I'm sure there will be some to replace for reasons due to my picky anal self in how my sets look. I'll also have to send a few star cards in and get them professionally graded. Grading a card (usually a star player) that comes back with a high grade 6-10 will increases the value of the set. Now the 1960 set I built from scratch I had 20-25 stars and bought their cards already graded. I usually buy cards graded at 6 or 7 for this set and the price has run from $50-60 to $1100 for a Mickey Mantle which was a great price. Baseball cards have increased yearly in value 20-30%. I also buy individual star cards as I find them for the investment. For example, I bought six Bobby Whit Jr rookie cards last summer $80-140 each. Now with how he finished the year, awards, and future fame his card is selling for $250 and higher. I won't sell just hang on and see what they do. I went from 50–60-year-old cars to cards...haha loving it!! Hope I didn't bore you too bad but now you know a little more about my passion. I did take the Barracuda out for a drive. Now that the 55 is gone I'll try and do that more.
