Not sure I understand. I am planning to get a new windshield for certain, as the OEM one has turned brown-ish along the top 6" of it. My plan was to just order one from an aftermarket supplier (i.e. AMD, Classic Industries, etc). I want the shop doing the build to install it, as I don't trust the independent installers with their 23-somethings doing the work due to likelihood of scratching my expensive paint job. Are you suggesting to source the windshield through a local glass company? If so, will it save much $$$?
