Clearcoat Queston .

You can't kill Imron paint. Painted my Ragtop in 1985 with it. Still shined living outside until I restored it in 2020. Now the PPG single stage paint fades each year. Constantly buffing polishing or waxing. My hardtop PPG Base / clear. Shines awesome. Never fades. 10 years in. Ragtop before resto.
Ah, imron, that brings back memories... PPG sadly has always been an inferior paint, and clear coat for that matter. If you ever want to see a demonstration, buy code99 black PPG and put it next to Dupont or Spies, it's brown, vs. blue. While I don't use their clear, house of color makes a very nice base coat.
