New member (and to old mopar)

Hi everyone. Earlier this week I bit the bullet and on my first real cheap project car. I'm still figuring out all the details on the car. But its definitely a frankenstein.

1966 Valiant 100 2dr. It seems like it was last worked on and driven majorly in the early 2000s. Its gutted inside, painted white (poorly), 273 swapped, and they installed a roll cage. A lot doesn't really ad up as to why theres a roll cage but I wont complain right now.

I've been on the mopar side of things for quite a long time. I semi-daily a 92 dakota with a 3.9. Just did the timing chain and waterpump in that. And just sold a shorty b150 /6 that i've driven up and down the east coast.

This is WAY bigger of a project though. Motor runs fairly well! Brakes work but go to the floor. 1 fender and quarters are rotten. When I got it on stands I noticed just how crunchy the front frame rails are too (Very BAD).

This will never be a show car, and will never be my aspiration. Just a fun old car to zip around town in and be the oldest thing in the parking lot. I like a good period piece. I do a lot of work on guitars and my favorite ones are the ratty but heavily modified with of era parts. This gives me the same vibe. Lots of old stickers from tracks. I uploaded a picture of my favorite sticker haha.

Plans for now are to assess/bleed brakes and wire wheeling the frame rails to see the amount of rot. Ideally patching not replacing and worst case......capping. I know how much everyone hates the safe-t-caps but, like I said, not a show car, or even a nice one.
