Update! Tomorrow night is unfortunately cancelled due to predicted weather. We were hoping for better forecast, but the overnight rain predicted will make the facility too muddy for teams and guests to safely navigate the property. It usually takes at least 8 hours of sun to dry out the facility after a storm of this size. The forecast for Saturday has very little sun and plenty of additional sprinkles that will prevent any drying efforts. We could wait til tomorrow to make the call, but that would be unfair to fans and teams who travel from some distance to watch and race. Again, so sorry. We were really looking forward to this lineup. The Pombo family intends to try to hold one more race to show the appreciation to the fans and teams who have supported Santa Maria Speedway this season as we try to restore dirt track racing on the Central Coast.
