Stop in for a cup of coffee

"Step back from the rig and if those outriggers come off the ground more than 6" let me know" says the crane operator to his oiler
Yep I have had a crane license for years (up to 100 tons). I always stationed my rigger at the soft foot and handed him a radio and told him you see light under that foot ping me immediately. Saved the day on more than one occasion. Back when cranes were not all electronic and you actually had to do all the math in your head and look at chart riveted to the dog house for confirmation. Now they got load cells on the pulley and you know immediately what you are picking. Then just figure your stick and angle of the dangle!
