Here's a photo dump, early-A vs the '67 bracket, note the mount locating nubs are fore-aft(nub forward) on early-A's & lateral/up-down(nub up) on the '67 & up(pictured a '67 orange).
The green body tape indicates the proximity of the early-A K-member side stud position(My '64 GT 'vert). Also note the mount stud hole is positioned much closer to the pan rail on the later A bracket.
Early-A biscuit is ~3/8" thicker.
