Ted Spehar propelled the little 275 HP superstocker to 106 MPH at 12.91. If you need more than that in a convertible you might need a bigger engine. $4700 is a fair price unless you are a machinist and can do the work yourself. Is it a chunk of change? Yes but it's done and looks great. Best of luck with the project!

Ya Ted Spehr ain't building your engine and you ain't going 12's with your 273. For $4,700.00 bucks I'd be looking for a 340 and you never regret it. All you really need is a block and a forged crank and a set of heads all the other parts are going to cost the same.
