Who has done a 5.7 with a833 4 speed Overdrive ?

Here is a Challenger oil pan. Similar oil control baffles.

The Holley also has the bolt in baffle, that bolts into the the pan. I assume that the Milodon pan has something similar welded into place. One thing that the Holley pan has, that I didn't know it had until I needed it, is that the windage tray will accept a 4.050 stroker crank without mods. Pretty beefy one at that. Hold your tongue just right to get it to pop into place tho.

I think it comes down to brand loyalty/disloyalty for some people. Outside of that, cost and appeal are the big factors. The cast aluminum had great appeal to me and in the end, it was cheaper. Not everyone but some people have become dissatisfied with the Milodon pan because of drips. Take that with a grain of salt tho. 408 Swinger has had great luck with them and no issues. Both pans have the same disease.. the idler just bumps at full right clock. And even that is with the 73 up centerlink. I don't see either pan working with pre 73 parts.. I could be wrong. I can't remember the user (roadrunner something maybe) but he has the Milodon and actually heated it and gave it a couple of good smacks with his favorite hammer to cure the problem. Nice build but that made me cringe.
