Now if you could put a sheet metal strip between the two with an air gap. Like a heat shield. The shrink tube is awesome but when it gets hot it will continue to shrink till it splits. It’s not made for constant heat.

I am concerned about the heat next to the hose and the zip ties. I'm going to keep an eye on it for now. I tried to use zip ties to pull it away from the exhaust but then it interferes with the kickdown linkage. I'll likely grab some fiberglass/silicone heat protection (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MZGPF42?tag=fabo03-20) and slide it over. Not in a hurry to take everything back apart soon.
