63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)
HI! Took the engine to NAPA, glad I did, took a bunch of tries to get the belts right. Though I've got the power steering belt, can't connect it, if I had a pressure hose, I could route it back to the reservoir to see if it works or at least flows/pumps. meh, Also stopped by a local muffler shop for a length of exhaust pipe, the guy charged me 10 bucks, I though sure he'd give it to me, then he make the slip on part too big, so I welded the pipe on. mmm, blasted the choke, drilled out the old stud. I don't have the connector clip for the choke.
The engine is full of break in oil plus the Zinc additive. I put as much oil down the oil pump, about a 1/2 quart. Turned the engine via starter without plugs. Turns over good, was hoping to see oil gauge show pressure(mechanical gauge)(not). Loosened the rear most valve train bolt and oil does come up, nothing spectacular. Hoping that when it runs oil pressure will go up and rockers get oiled.
hm, waiting for another belt adjuster like I did on the AC. The Alt belt isn't quite tight enough.
I pulled the distributor, and #1 plug, grounded the plug. With the distributor in hand, I could turn the distributor gear and get a spark for #1.
I guess that's it for now~ got to get dinner going;)
