I have a 47 Dodge truck on a 74 Ramcharger frame, taking the 1/2 ton 3.55 gears and 28"" tires off and adding 3/4 ton axles changing the gears to 4.88 and 33" tires.
Most likely will go up in tire size, fenders being the limiting factor.

Actually, it pulled very well for the short time it was running. Crippled is not a word I would use.
The tires are pretty short by jeep standards, and i do not plan on cutting bodywork for anything taller, so this is it. Maybe your 47 truck bodywork will allow taller than mine.
