What do you mean "figure it out"? Tach hooks up the same as any other coil. Tach wire to the negative side of the coil. The three prong connector is for 12+ / 12- / light ... the four prong connector is for the inductive pickup lead ... the single pink wire four prong connector is for the negative side of the coil (this is the one that doesn't work).Post a picture of this inductive tach.
