Poly head will make good power if recast with better exhaust and narrow like the LA head.

That’s one reason why they didn’t keep the engine in production.

It’s too wide to fit the early A’s. If you narrow it up you end up with the valves in line.

You can drool over this 1960’s technology but there are inline valve heads that will blow that head away.

There were canter valve heads made for these engines. They got killed when NHRA wiped out the Pro Stock Truck class.

Those heads are old and obsolete.
