P205/75 R14 or P215/70 R14

If I asked the local guy I go to to do that, he'd tell me get the f**k out of his shop and stop wasting his time. He's got more business than he can do in any given day as it is.

Maybe things are different in YVR, but in the Northeast, I've never been in a shop that seemed the slightest bit inclined to do anything like that. The friendliest response I could imagine would be a look, followed by completely ignoring the question.

It shows the majority of that shop’s customers don’t care at all about date codes. And if that’s the case, then he doesn’t need to waste his time spending 10 minutes with you when he can process a few other clients within those 10 minutes with sales.

Interesting thing is every tire manufacture outlines date codes as do the major online tire shops (Tire Rack). Tire date codes are not a secret or some meaningless set of numbers.

The good news is you’ve got the choice to go elsewhere to spend your hard earned $. Why buy a 2yr old tire for the same $ as a 4 month old tire?
