So do u have Race Tech or Auto Tech pistons or are the the same? I agree though that 40 grams is way too much to be outta wack on 1 rod let alone on 8 rods. Maybe the pistons are 40 grams lighter than expected? But with the bigger dish you’re probably loosing at least 1/2 point in compression. Kim

The kit came with RaceTec's AutoTec line pistons. RaceTec has several lines of pistons apparently. The balance issue ended up being an error with the rod big end number. The number someone wrote on the box was incorrect and that incorrect number ended up being used to determine the bobweight.

For the pistons, it wasn't just the dish volume either. The compression height was shorter than the advertised Icon piston. I ended up sending the kit back for another one.

The new one came yesterday with the correct pistons. I opted this time for the unbalanced assembly and will get it balanced locally.
