Good info here if the year matches up.
I would recommend you do not have the wiper arms installed when you first test.
If the linkage is not installed correctly you don't want the arms smashing into your paint.
Lastly in some of the earlier 2 speeds, the park was a friction stop. Meaning that the power gets cut at just the right time for the blades to park in the correct location ( my 67 is that way) and the position is adjusted by rotating the gear box cover.
Water on the windshield and they park in the right spot.
No water in the windshield and they will park high
