Why don't you want to run 6,000 rpm for an extended period of time ?
Not like that's a lot of rpm, what engine combo are you going to run ? (I missed it)
What i mean is if I reach top rpm too soon, then there could be more on the table but I'd be out of rpm or out of gear, so to speak. For now it's a mild steel crank 383.
