Bonneville Landspeed Racing - Let's Try a Thing.
So, gearing. Need to check on tires as I have the tubs mounted high. Should be able to fit a 35" tire without issue. I reworked some wheel spacers this AM to move the front tires out and to allow clearance to run 15" wheels which greatly opens up tire size availability. I will plan to not use the OD for now. It will come down to either the current 2.94s or 2.76 that I can get from a friend who will never use them. If I run the 150 club to start with, I wont need all the equipment for class records that are 100mph faster than I will be going, but no runs count towards a competition license. That said, to go 150-159 with the 2.94 gears, that is 5500rpm and 5000 rpm with the 2.76. Both should be doable. The 2.50 gear would be down to 4600 which seems wrong.
