Bonneville Landspeed Racing - Let's Try a Thing.
So, I believe we struck a deal on a pair of 32" Dunlop LSR tires on 19" solid aluminum rims that were on a streamliner. With that height, I may run the 3.23 gears from the Demon. That "will" equate to 156mph at 5300rpm. This seems more realistic I think. More RPM available to account for wind, race surface, etc. I think so at least. The only real issue I can think of is if it makes the car too high. The car was set up with 26" tires as it sits now. Raising 3" may not work and lowering blocks can only be so big.
To build on this.... what is the max lowering block people would use? I could modify the pinion snubber or contact point to help with leaf spring wrap up or tire shake. Now I wish I had put the car on bags....
