distributor question
Made by Ningbo of China. Originally sold mostly by Skip White Performance of TN on ebay. Amazing they can make them for the $45 I paid, plus $20 for an e-core coil. I bought a spare ignition module, since prudent to carry one. Main issue I've read is of an early shaft bushing failure, apparently due to no initial lube. Eventually crankcase splash oils it, but pour a little down the shaft for startup. The multi-finger pickup, akin to later GM, seems much better than OE Mopar since should account for shaft wobble as the bushing wears.
If I add EFI to my small-block which can command spark timing, I've thought of changing to the GM 8-pin module which allows that (2nd connector). It wouldn't fit under that cap, without cutting the cap, or would mount the module elsewhere.
