I have been working on my car for a while. One of the bigger projects I did was a Heater delete which left a big opening in the cowl.

I considered cutting the fresh air vent off of the heater assembly doing some custom fiberglass or whatever and installing that in the passenger side.

I realized that Australia was a right hand drive country and that they would have a manual vent on the right side and the heater assembly will be located to the left side.

Thanks to eBay I scored one very quickly.

So if you are in the same situation you might just give this a try!

So it would still be a little weird, but any reason you couldn't use a driver's side vent on the passenger side? The door would open in an inconvenient way and you might have to clock it a bit for the bolts to line up, but seems like you could at least bolt it in.

Not really, but I liked this one since it has a cable to operate it and it uses j hooks instead of studs like on the drivers side. The passenger side has no studs installed from the factory.

Ah, there we go. Didn't think about it just using the hooks on that side. The cable is a novel addition as we for sure. Granted I never open my passenger side air door anymore anyway since it covers me in a mist of petrified flora of some sort. Doesn't matter how much I think I've cleaned it out or ran it open on the highway to blow it all out, it always ends up in my eyes and all over my shirt when I open that side.

same here, I have been cleaning my cowl while it has been in the resto process and the little cleanouts on the left and right side always seem to have more stuff in them
