look at this picture .............
I took all the valves out of one of the 920 heads today and just out of curiosity I looked inside the dowel pin hole on the head and noticed the hole is NOT drilled all the way to the bottom of hole the same diameter. there is a 1/8" ledge that is narrower than the pin size.
is there a reason for that? should I leave that alone ? just could be an reason why the head gasket kept blowing not seating all the way down . I believe there is a special drill bit that has a flat shank at the tip .... no pointed not like a regular drill bit .
just trying to address suspicious looking issues on this build.
