as far as evens goes, stay away from that stuff.. had one and it bad crimps all over the damn thing. at the time there were many complaints about the same thing all over the mopar boards.

I can't explain the issues you had but here's a link to nothing but praise for Evans, perhaps the person making your piece was sick/ill that week.
I have used several Evans pieces, and found them to be excellent, they responded quickly and supplied quality, with nec alteration done, no charge.
