One thing that hasn’t been brought up yet, which should be checked when adding as much duration as being discussed here, is……..before ordering a new cam……. Check to see what the V/P clearance is with the current cam.
With the data for the current cams LSA and intake C/L, along with the lobe lift at TDC, and the measured clearance……… the clearance for the new cam can be reasonably estimated.

If the current cam has tons of clearance(.150”+), then there shouldn’t be any issues with cams in the duration range being discussed.
But if the clearance is in the .100” range, you may not be able to add as much duration as desired.
