'65 Dart /6 A833 swap - clutch fork, input shaft, speedo gear, crossmember questions

Hello!

Getting ready to start an A833 OD swap into my '65 Dart 2dr /6. Ive compared the A833 to a spare 3spd tranny and bellhousing I have, and I have a few questions.

The input shaft (from the end of the bearing retainer to the end of the shaft) on the A833 is .200 shorter than the stock 3spd (see pics) All other dimensions match. Will the slightly shorter shaft create any problems?

The clutch fork for the stock 3spd uses a tab type pivot mount, while the A833 clutch fork uses a ball type pivot mount. Can I assume that I'll have to get a ball mounted clutch fork? If yes, anyone out there have one or know where to get one?

The tranny is from a '76 Volare. Is the speedometer cable mount/input the same as the Dart?

Is there a resource to figure out which speedometer gear I'll need in order to get a somewhat accurate speedometer reading?

Will I have to redrill holes in the crossmember, or fabricate a new crossmember?
In order:
Input shaft is no problem, as long as your engine was previously a stick. Some (automatic) crankshafts did not come finish machined for a pilot bearing.
Contact Brewer's Performance for the clutch fork. Also a wealth of knowledge on all things "four speed" and clutch.
No. The later trans uses a different style speedo gear and housing. You'll need a '66-'67 cable to connect the new trans to your speedometer.
Go to Mymopar.com and download the Aspen or Volare FSM and they will have a chart regarding speedo gear selection based on rear gear ratio and tire size. Many online charts are notoriously inaccurate.
No crossmember modification is needed, but you will have to modify your transmission tunnel if your car was not previously a floor shift.
Additionally, '65 transmissions/driveshafts used a "ball and trunnion" front joint, whereas your OD transmission uses a slip yoke; so you will need a different driveshaft made or modified for the new transmission.
