65 Barracuda daily driver

The brakes on the car hadn't been too great lately. I was wondering if some air found its way into the system, so I bled all 4 wheel cylinders, but that didn't really changed anything. So I ordered some new ceramic brake pads (Bendix SBC11). When I looked at the rotors I was questioning how much sense it made to put new pads on old rotors, so I took them off to get turned. I called 3 different O'Reilly's, but 2 stores told me their machine was broken and the third said they had no one who knows how to operate it. Great! So I took them to a local machine shop that I had forgotten about. They had to order new seals, so I had to wait a couple of days.

The looked great, so I put them on and swapped out the pads. The old ones weren't necessarily worn down that much, but had some hairline cracks. I had swapped to the Kelsey Hayes discs about 6 years ago. I had gotten some hubs, spindles, rotors and calipers from a '70 Dart in the local Pick-Your-Part yard, but had gotten new rotors, calipers, seals and bearings. And some cheap brake pads. I don't think I broke them in correctly or at all to be honest. This time I read that you are supposed to come to a stop from about 30 miles an hour 20 times in a row with some time in between to let the brakes cool off a bit. That's supposed prevent glazing etc. Seems to have worked, the car stops well again.

I was finally tired of the master cylinder being all rusty, so I brushed on some semi gloss black, after cleaning it with a wire brush and brake clean. Let's see how long that paint is going to last.

The new wiper blades (Trico 33-130) arrived and they look great! Last year all the store had were some Rain-X blades that were super bulky, and made from black plastic and looked horrible.
