what was this story called?
any one remember this?
a few years, or decades ago, i read this story, it was about an old man who was consumed with fly fishing
his daughter was worried about him because all he wanted to do was tie flies and catch fish
as the story progressed people start to disappear into thin air
at the same time, the daughter notices a cereal box with a typo on it
then in the store she notices more strange packagings with typos on it
the story ends with the old man going fishing, while people disappear
and without anyone really coming right out and saying it, we the reader put two and two together and find out something is fishing for people and the misprinted boxes are their "flies"
i cant remember the name of the book for the life of me, i thought it might be by stephen king, but who knows
