Yeah, unfortunately I think the ModMan was really almost built as a supercharger manifold that you can just so happen to put carbs on if you feel like it. It also seems to work well enough with EFI. It was designed with the injectors and rails in mind at least, so it wasn't an afterthought. I kind of think it makes sense that a larger displacement engine would get along with it better as the plenum to cylinder ratio wouldn't be quite as skewed, but that could be a pretty big gamble to make. Given you already have an intake, I would probably look at port adapters before I'd look at doing all the mods to try to make it work via machining/welding. Though with port adapters you are going to be moving injectors further from the port when/if you go that route.
