A UEM 1276 piston w pin weighs about 1098g , the oem forged crank can handle a bob weight of 2695g's, A cast crank needs further modifications due to piston to counterweight interference, the forged crank is at its limit for being internally balanced, without adding heavy metal, this is a good 80 grams heavier than the stock piston. Why std? Used in a 70 over 383 for this build.

I was wondering the weights because a buddy wants to raise compression on a 400 and he was going to get a set of low compression 440 pistons and I remembered reading that the weight was off so I asked if anyone knew? You gave me an excellent explanation. Thanks, I'll tell him just buy KB240 or better make a 451 out of it
