That gets you the 226 number above at .050 of tappet lift. It's not the moment the tappet lifts. zero out the indicator when the lifter is on the base circle, get it to .050 lift, then look at the reading on the wheel. Should be at 6 BTDC on the way up and 40 ABDC on the way down and hit .050 going back to .000 on base circle..
