Read: The stock short block works awesome. The Dakota had over 120k on it when we built it. Didn't ring or bearing it either. My son did his teenage years through age 21 in it and he wore the truck out again. It had over 270k total on it at that point. We gutted the power train and threw away the rest. It was rust free but was DONE!
