67/68/69 cuda dilemma

I think we nailed it. Now I have to remove and or neutralize the corrosion on what's left before stitching this in, and making panels up for the outside.

Great to see your post Moparmatt!!

One suggestion for you as I went through this same process.

We detached the outer trunk lid skin from the inner frame , reconstructed the rusty part of the inner frame, made a new lip for the outer skin and reattached much like you did.

The issue I ran into was when we re-installed the trunk lid with the trunk gasket and the tail light assemblies in place, we could not get the trunk trim or the gaps to align. We ended up having to rework the lip repair to ensure proper alignment. If you can at this point, it might be helpful to reassemble everything first before you refinish and paint the panel. Of course factor in paint thickness into your alignment.
