School me on Intake compatability, and modifications.
I spoke with a gentleman in tech at Indy several days back, sadly I've let his name escape me. He indicated to me the Modman is indeed primarily a good base for a forced induction application.
With that said, I described my scenario of a 6.1 based 426 stroker build, Apache heads, 4.10 gear, four speed, aluminum flywheel, dual quad setup. He suggested that in this application the Modman may not present the negatives others have had using it in stock displacement applications, in fact he thought it would be a good combo. Interestingly, he indicated to me that the Gen 3 Hemi head is so efficient in its use of fuel, it is very easy to overcarburate these engines. It was his advice to use dual 500cfm carbs vs the dual 650's I currently run on my tunnel ram W2 408. I may give this a whirl, I will also show my engine builder the 7528 Edelbrock dual quad and see what his thoughts are about some type of port match.
