Layson's has the piece in the firewall (installs from the inside) part# 316-46842... $119, but I presume that the wires in both sides are toasted too. The entire front wiring harness Headlights to the firewall is $392 and everything under the dash is $1120.

Way to scare him right off the bat lol. My bulkhead was toasted pretty bad but I only had to cut a few wires back and splice in a few inches of wire and replace the packard connectors. Probably spent $150 total on a new bulkhead, some connectors and wire.

He may need some local help. I remember when I was 16 and people could point me to the FSM all day long but that doesn't mean I could make sense of most of it.
