1970 carter 4933s,Rebuild or buy edelbrock?

I would buy the Edel 650 AVS2 carb. It has two features that in my opinion improve the performance over the excellent design of the original AVS design. Improvements that the butt-meter will feel.....
[1] Annular primary boosters. These improve throttle response.
[2] The secondaries. Edel added venturiis to the secondaries instead of discharge tubes that the original had. If you look at these tubes, you will see holes along the length & in the end. The size & location of the holes varies. Rt side is different to left. Any change to the engine [ bigger cam ] is likely to change this very specific calibration & will no longer be optimal for the engine.
I have run Carter 625 AFBs & 625 AVS carbs back to back & the AFB always had better acceleration on the secondaries.
