340 torque converter...

340 torque converter is recommended a lot here to a lot of people. Does anyone make these "off the shelf" ? And yes, off the shelf should be available since it's a replacement part. Not one that "will work" in it's place, or "should be about the same"... but one that functions like the original because it's designed to be the replacement. I shouldn't have to call PTC or Dynamics or Coan to get a replacement for a factory converter.

You'd think, but not long after the 7/70 warranty ran out on My '88 ShelbyZ, nobody sold struts or shocks calibrated for the stiffer springs & stabilizer bars........it was one strut/shock fits-all......I talked to a Cardone Rep who said I could send My struts & shocks in & they'd rebuild them.
