Tell me are those palm trees native to California? why do I see so many on fire and blowing ambers everywhere. Seems to me a none native palm should be considered a hazard at this point, that slight change could be the difference before the next big fire storm. Cut them all down for the sake of this tragedy.

Nope.

there is one or two native palms to california. though the majority of non native species were brought around 300 years ago by the spanish and there was a great influx from mexico in the early 1930's (especially to los angeles).

no matter though, because when stucco houses with tile roofs are burning it doesn't much matter what's native or not.
