Intake manifold options for a Magnum 5.9/360

A fellow FABO member has a 360/360 in his 68 Dart....

I have driven this car. It did in fact feel soft from idle but I did not push it hard or high rpms where it may have come alive. I have a basically stock 360 in a 67 Dart that flat out rips right off idle. It has a dual plane intake and a smaller cam.
If a torque peak is at 4100 rpms, I'd call that less than optimal for a street car.
The white 68 Dart above had 3.91s and a Tremec 5 speed. My 67 has a 904 and a 4.10 gear. Just a guess but I suspect that I'd get him from a dig but he'd run me down well before the 1/8 mile.
I'm looking to use his engine but to change the intake and camshaft to shift the power curve lower.
