Canadian Tire has frequent sales on Innova OBD scanners. If you don’t need it right now, wait for it to go on sale (25 or 33% off). If you only plan on checking early OBD cars, you can get a pretty basic scanner. However for newer cars you’ll want a more advanced one to read airbag, brakes and other complex system codes (more than a check engine light).
