Blast from the past..
17 years old...1985 w/ my then girlfriend.
My B5 blue 72 Demon, in primer, before the Plum Crazy paint went on.
318, auto / console, deluxe interior..
70 / 71 scoops and a 71 fender pulled from the local bone yard.
Smoking the tires (brake torque..lol) at Car Craft Nationals, Du Quoin, Illinois, 1989?
A few more.. My buddy wrecked his Challenger showing off in front of some high school cheerleaders doing a car wash benefit at the gas station. He took advantage of the water from their wash, got on it, and promptly kissed a telephone pole. We had just filled up with gas on our way to cross the state from St Louis to Kansas City to see the Monster's of Rock Tour in 1988. He and the people in his car had to load into mine after the police report and tow, and off we went. Great concert, by the way..!
Another of a couple buddy's helping with the fender install and some lower quarter patching..And finally, my best friend (R.I.P.) sitting on my hood when it still had some B5 blue, watching the the cars and girls go by at the CarCraft Nationals in Springfield, Illinois, 1984. We were both 16, got up that morning and had nothing planned that day.. I jokingly said, "Let's go to CarCraft.." So, he got his older brother to buy us plenty of beer, loaded the cooler and drove about 4 hours(sober) and set up camp. Another great memory for me, especially since he's gone now.
