Dirty Harry Interviews Police Applicant

And here's the original clip, uncut and unedited.

That scene is so relevant today.

There is incompetence everywhere I am wondering if it is DEI or if society has been dumbed down
I think both. What's unfortunate is that too many people are labeled sexist/racist/phobic if they don't think standards should be lowered to allow for more hires.

Las Cruces, NM just agreed to a $20 million payout to the family of an individual gunned down by a rogue cop. There is another case pending where a 72 y/o elderly woman was gunned down by a clearly trigger happy cop. Another fairly "green" cop was killed by a deranged "homeless" individual with a knife. Yep it certainly seems the quality of applicants has declined. Decades ago, when personally applied for certain positions, they were more than happy to quickly disqualify applicants likely due to the fact they were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of applicants back then.
Same goes for the fire department. 10-20 years ago, city departments had so many applicants, they would use stadiums and arenas for their testing processes. Tens of thousands of applicants for 50 positions. Now they're lucky to get a few hundred for the same number of open positions.

And with the younger generation becoming less blue-collar, hands-on, working class oriented, it's only going to get worse.
