I think all these older cars look much better in single stage. They have a "fake" look about them in base/clear, IMO.
I agree, but I bet very few really rare and high end cars get the correct single stage anymore.
I hate seeing clear peeling off any car, and I would rather sand and buff a single stage to revive old paint, but metalics pose their own issues.
Trying to convince a guy to use single stage is like trying to convince a guy to runs points! or to tell the young guy to stay with the carb!
A guy can put darn near the shine on a single stage IF he knows how, but it will never look exactly like a single stage and I agree, a real resto would be done with single stage.
