Fuel tank replacement with EEC

The 4 vent canister does the same thing as the filler neck vent. The line out of the 4 vent canister that normally goes to the engine can dump the same as the one on the filler neck vent.

I wonder about the condition of the canister after all these years. I'd blow air through it to make sure the internals are not rusted to the point of being clogged. It is just four tubes of different lengths in a can and the longest tube is the vent. Functionally it is better but ugly imho.

If you want cleaner/no canister, a vent port could be added to the unvented neck that copies the factory vented neck. Many ways to do that but it must not leak fumes into the trunk or be damaged by stuff moving around in the trunk. Steel or nicopp(nickel/copper) AGS line (NOT the china copper crap on ebay being sold as brake and fuel line) attached with an inverted flare fitting to the neck or a couple inches of gates barrier efi hose would work well but it still needs support clamps to keep it from rubbing. Can be addel cushion clamps or no cushion if tight fitting (no sliding back and forth in the clamp).

Any tank without valves needs a vertical loop and vacuum break. The neck and the four vent cover that. A loop and a vertical mount, fat fuel filter near the top can do that.

There are all sorts of methods to make the whole system safer than original if you want to go for that.
